I
f you're looking for a
unique and fun way
to reward your staff,
consider chair massages.
At one of my facilities, I
brought in a corporate spa
company to give out
massages during our
busiest day of Nurses
Week. The company
provides its own chairs
and for 4 hours will give
10-minute massages. For
40 staff, you should get 2
chairs to accomodate
more people. I posted a
signup sheet and made
sure that everyone got
their turn. Scheduling the
massages on one of our busiest days that week made it easy to cover
someone so they didn't miss their turn. Prices ranged from $400 to
$800 in my area, so you have to do your research to find the best
price. My staff loved it. The surgeons started asking if they could have
a turn, too. "Nope, you have to wait for Doctor's Day," I told them.
