Sopping up the excess
Automated systems are designed
to prevent runoff from reaching
the floor, but no system is guaran-
teed to contain every drop. That's
why it's a good idea to add floor
wicking devices or suction mats
and strips to your fluid management efforts. When assessing your
options, consider how easy each one is to set up and remove and how
effective they are in keeping floors dry. You also have to consider how
the devices work in practice — the amount of noise, getting in the way
of foot traffic, or impeding equipment movement — because no
method is effective if goes unused.
