ere's an easy way to ensure you always have a charged
defibrillator battery. Label your 2 batteries #1 and #2.
One is always in the defibrillator and the other sits on
top of the cart. Every Monday, we alternate the batteries, docu-
menting on our daily crash cart log sheet which one is in the
defibrillator while we let the resting one drain its charge (biomed
says that's the best practice to extend the life of batteries).
