Madness
might be
over, but we still
talk about the team-
building fun we had
with the NCAA
Men's Basketball
Tournament.
Everybody does a
bracket pool with
friends and cowork-
ers, but we put a lit-
tle spin on ours. We fashioned a basketball hoop out of expired
products and set it in our staff lounge. We used urinary catheters
for the rim, Penrose drains for the net and red floor-marking tape
to make the "shooter's square" on the backboard. For our March
Madness bracket pool, staff reached into the basket and picked a
folded piece of paper on which we'd written each college team's
name. The team you picked was your entry in the tournament
pool. It was a great team-building experience — and more fun
than filling out your bracket online.
