poor early implant designs and unrefined techniques, but we've come a
long way since then. In fact, more patients who are considered good
candidates for the surgery are calling for it. Why? The incision is small-
er, so there's typically less post-op pain. You're also retaining more of
your original anatomy, so patients tend to recover and return to life as
usual more quickly without any assistive devices. And patients have to
pay less out of pocket, an important consideration in this era of self-
pay patients.
