THE COCOON PATIENT WARMING SYSTEM
The Cocoon Patient Warming System is a microprocessor
controlled system which produces forced air to maintain
patient normothermia. It is compact, quiet, and portable
and requires low maintenance. It was developed with a
digital temperature sensor system. The system incorpo-
rates several user-friendly features such as "easy to
wipe" hose cover; a larger filter which lasts longer; and a
blanket "tie-system" which permits one blanket use from
Pre-OP to PACU. The blankets utilize "Micropore" tech-
nology which provides uniform warm and gentle air flow
to envelop the patient. A wide range of size and case spe-
cific blankets are available.
