W hat's hot and what's not in cataract surgery? Our annu- al Cataract Technology Survey asked 230 managers of ophthalmic surgical facilities to list the most significant innovation or development in cataract surgery in the last couple years. The respons- es were varied and point to a specialty that's forever finding ways to improve surgical outcomes. Our respondents mentioned patient-pleas- ing advances like laser cataracts and intraoperative aberrometry, pre- loaded lenses and premium multifocal and toric IOLs, IV-free sedation and dropless cataracts, microscopes, monitors and more.
