efore you complain that your OR start is delayed, try cutting
screws with bolt cutters or operating without X-rays and
drills.
Before you complain that the block team had to be paged twice, try
placing an IM nail into a femur without the aid of fluoroscopy or hand-
drilling a tibia in order to apply an external fixator on an open fracture.
Before you complain that the wrong size cannula was opened, try
using an IM nail in a humeral nonunion because there aren't any com-
pression plates and screws available.
Before you complain that the pump pressure was set at 50 instead
of 40, spend a week at El Antonio Lenin Fonseca Hospital in
