Each case cart in our hospital is num- bered. When a cart enters the decontamination area, a tech attaches a stainless steel clip with a number that matches the case cart to each instrument pan. When reassembling the sets for sterilization, techs match up the trays for a particu- lar case cart before sterilization. The system helps keep instru- ment sets organized and increases the efficiency of the sterilization process. Mark Voigt St. Cloud (Minn.)
