They would scrub in and get questioned on why they weren't wearing eyewear before a nurse would have to run out and get them a pair. Now, we made eyewear nearly impossible to forget by placing bins at the scrub sink along with signs reminding staff and surgeons to take a pair. There are clean and dirty bins for the glasses, so they are returned, cleaned and reused after a case, not lost or tossed.
