We take that info and store it in a safe, which our billing staff has access to. Once the claim for their pro- cedure is processed, we give patients a courtesy call telling them that we will charge such-and-such amount on this credit card to cover their portion of the bill. It's convenient for both our cen- ter and patients, and has been a major success. Since implementation, we've increased our patient collections by 30%.
