A
t our aca-
demic cen-
ter, there are
always a lot of new
faces in the periopera-
tive areas. To help
staff easily identify
new people and why
they're there, we ask
all of our vendors to
wear red bouffants.
We keep a sign by the
red caps specifying
who should wear
them, and information
on the correct person
to contact while at the
hospital. It helps us to
easily identify where
they belong and can
help with regulatory concerns, like
ensuring they don't open supplies
on a sterile field.
