hen you come to conferences, it's not just about the education or
checking out the latest products. You also want the opportunity to
share ideas and learn from your colleagues. At OR Excellence, we
aim to give you the intimate atmosphere to foster those relationships.
"I enjoyed the intimate feeling of the meeting and the ability to interact with
so many attendees and exhibitors, one on one," says Donna Smith, MT, CASC
chief operating office at Nexus Surgical Partners in Macon, Ga. "Some of those
connections led to long-term business partners, current colleagues, and even
some long-time friends."
ORX gives you a chance to connect with peers facing similar challenges. The
majority of attendees are surgical facility leaders, many from the nation's
busiest facilities. "It's nice to confirm other leaders have some of the same
stresses I face in daily operations of my departments," says Amy Whisnant,
MSN, RN-BC, CNOR, director of perioperative services at CaroMont Health in
Gastonia, N.C.
