The single-use device has 360° omni-directional visualization capabilities as well as a front view similar to conventional colonoscopy — visible to the practitioner on a single screen. It's designed to both ensure easy visualization behind haustral folds and to exert 10 times less pressure on the colon wall for a safe procedure. The company, GI View, says a breakthrough in the use of pneumatic technology enables motion within the colon with a thin multi-lumen cable and 2 balloons. An ergonomic joystick enables intuitive control of navigation, insufflation, irrigation and suction, adds GI View, which expects to introduce the Aer-O-Scope in the United States in 2016. giview.com P R O D U C T N E W S G r e a t i d e a s f o r y o u r O R
