We hang them above the stretchers in each pre-op patient bay, so they can know at a glance which patients are theirs. This works really well when there is more than one surgeon operat- ing at a time. We've also laminated a "Next" sign, which we hang on the IV pole so the OR nurse knows which patient is up next on the schedule to be taken to an OR.
