IDEAS That Work SEAL THE DRAPE Keep Blood Out of Hair When doing eyelid plas- tics cases, I seal the drape to the patient's face with Steri-Strips to prevent blood seepage beneath the drape. Not only does this minimize the need to spend time shampooing the patient's head due to blood that seeped behind the drape, but it also minimizes the oxygen seeping from beneath the drape, reducing the fire hazard.
