Beginning with the intuitive, functional design of ophthalmic lid speculums, Diamatrix Ltd has designed this unique, patent-pending device to engage the iris easily and be removed simply without added trauma. The Xpand Iris Speculum is available in three different resale quantities to suit your facility's best needs: individually, in a box of four or a carton of 16. PROTEKT™ SHARPS SAFETY KNIFE Since 2000, Diamatrix Ltd has brought high quality sharps safety knives to the ophthalmic OR. Today, we continue that leadership position with the addition of the patented Snap-Safe™ handle to our ProTekt™ Sharps Safety Knife product line. This intuitive design features an ergonomic grip and an intuitive sliding sheath that simply "snaps" into place. The ProTekt™ line features a full complement of blade sizes and configurations to suit any surgeon's needs, including MICS sizes such as our 2.4mm & 2.2mm slit. All sizes are available in either disposable or validated reusable formats to meet new CMS guidelines. For more information, or to arrange an evaluation, please call (800) 867-8081 , visit www.diamatrix.com or use the reader service card on p. 4. WASHER-DISINFECTORS DESIGNED TO FIT INTO SMALL SPACES Many surgery centers continue to clean surgical instruments by hand. This process includes manual scrubbing, exposure to sharps and chemicals, and many steps that are prone to human error. Miele compact washer-disinfectors G7899 and G7889 provide an affordable method to automatically clean and disinfect surgical instruments. Even instruments with long, narrow lumens such as rigid endoscopes or laparoscopic instruments can be processed. The washer- disinfector controls and monitors all critical parameters (time, temperature, pump pressure, dispensing) and creates an error condition should anything go wrong. A printer can be connected to verify and document that each cycle was successfully completed. The Miele Vario TD program is proven to remove blood and protein residues that have dried on surgical instruments for up to 6 hours. The final step is a thermal disinfection, so that instruments coming out of the washer are safe to handle for inspection and packaging for sterilization. For more information call (800) 991-9380 , visit www.miele-pro.com or use the reader service card on p. 4 . SH_1404-edit_Layout 1 3/21/14 10:49 AM Page 5
