To stay relevant in health care's changing landscape, your center must be seen as more than just another costly stop along the way of patients undergoing episodic care. It's critical to be viewed as an integral part of the healthcare continuum, as a member of the patient's healthcare neighborhood, and as a low-cost provider of an intervention that promotes health and wellness for community members. In short, your center needs to be an essential link in care coordination and lowering patient care cost — not just another provider trying to hang on to the dwindling pot of healthcare reimbursement dollars.
