And I think surgical teams should do more celebrating when something good comes from something potentially bad, like when the bleeding finally stops due to the diligence and tenacity of our skilled hands. It's true that Dr. Kildare and Ben Casey, Marcus Welby and Dr. Quincy, St. Elsewhere and ER were chiefly in the healthcare business to entertain us with drama, dedicated individuals and lives in the balance. Still, I think Hollywood could hit the bull's-eye with Tyler Perry's sassy Madea character as a circulating nurse, putting everyone in his place and getting away with it.
