The Association of periOperative Registered Nurses
(AORN) is accredited with distinction as a provider of
continuing nursing professional development by the
American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on
Accreditation (provider #P0041).
Nursing Contact Hours: A total of 17-19.5 contact hours
may be earned. To earn the contact hours, you must vir-
tually attend 90% of the sessions and complete an eval-
uation. Contact hours earned for this program may be
submitted for CNOR® recertification. AORN is provider-
approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing,
Provider Number CEP 13019. Check with your state
board of nursing for acceptability of education sessions
for re-licensure.
Ambulatory Surgery Center Administrators (CASC):
We have applied for AEU credits for CASC and expect to
be approved for 17-19.5 hours of AEU credits by BASC
Provider #4254.
National Center for Competency Testing: (NCCT) has
partnered with AORN as a source of quality continuing
education courses for surgical technologists. In accor-
dance with its Outside CE Course Submission and
Acceptance Policy for recertification, contact hours pro-
vided by AORN may be completed and submitted to
NCCT for outside CE approval for recertification credit.
Available Contact Hours: Contact hours are calculated
based on a 60-minute contact hour (60 minutes = 1 con-
tact hour). Virtual OR Excellence offers 17-19.5 contact
hours (CU) for participation.
