Can recovery rooms learn a lesson from the ER's philosophy of "treat 'em and street 'em?" In the harsh reality of the ER, it's get the patients in, stabilize them, treat them and send them back out the door. In a kinder, gentler way, "treat 'em and street 'em" can also apply to the PACU.
