Minimally Invasive Bunion Repair
The miniBunion from CrossRoads Extremity Systems is inserted
through a 15mm to 20mm incision on the inner side of the foot, two to
three times smaller than incisions made on top of the foot during tradi-
tional open bunion surgery. The minimally invasive approach results in
less trauma to the toes and tissue, which limits the development of
scar tissue and leads to improved post-op cosmesis, rapid recovery
and quicker return to normal life activities. The system also allows for
better alignment of the foot's bones to reduce post-op pain and
swelling, and the need for post-op physical therapy.
