Momentum is building for Neumentum, which last month moved a step closer to launching the first continuously infused NSAID for acute post-operative pain. A phase I study confirmed that NTM-001, an alcohol-free formulation of ketorolac in a pre-mixed bag designed for 24 hours of continuous infusion following surgery, provides con- sistent, steady blood plasma levels of ketorolac, says the company. NTM-001 is being evaluated to manage moderately severe acute pain that requires analgesia at the opioid-level, potentially reducing the need for opioids. neumentum.com
