Fluoroscopy in the Palm of Your Hands
This micro-sized C-arm, aptly named Micro C, is the first-ever hand-
held fluoroscopic and digital imaging device. No more maneuvering a
large machine around a small extremity — surgeons simply pull the
trigger under the index finger of the "X-ray gun" to capture images,
which are displayed on a portable book-sized screen, and uploadable
for easy PACs integration and digital EMR documentation. Besides
providing quicker, easier access to images, the 5-pound Micro C
exposes patients and staff to a fraction of the radiation of traditional
C-arms. FDA clearance is expected this quarter, says the company.
