Go to epocrates.com and look up the medica- tions your surgeons, anesthesiologists and CRNAs fre- quently administer to patients. Your list might include fen- tanyl, atropine, ephedrine, labetolol, glycopyrrolate and ondansetron. For each drug, make several printouts of the free patient education materials, which cover anticipated results, potential adverse reac- tions and potential side effects. In the patient's chart, we note which drugs we gave on a checklist form.
